  • Developed the global purchasing strategy for mechanical parts with regional differentiation, including objectives for shaping key supplier industry structures. Designed and delivered the restructuring of the lead plant in Salzgitter to secure long-term competitiveness at a high-wage German site, while introducing a performance-based pay system for middle management as well

Developed and introduced rigorous multi-dimensional resource controlling to lower the break-even point for good. The plant has been the efficiency benchmark among Bosch electronics plants internationally since 2006

  • Advised the divisional board on introducing a new network organisation with globally distributed sales, development and production leadership
  • Responsible for the worldwide roll-out of the shareholder value concept in the division

Plant manager of the Bosch Group electronics plant in Berlin

  • for broadband network components, vehicle aerials, DAB, radar-based cruise control and vehicle test equipment
  • Responsibilities:
  • Consolidated three production operations into one plant of around 300 staff, building an entirely new management structure and a shared identity
  • Numerous successful product launches, among them radar-based cruise control and DAB radios
  • Audited and developed numerous tier 2 and tier 3 suppliers in strategic purchasing, in close coordination with BMW
